OUR HISTORY
2010
Founding of TG hyLIFT GmbH
The company was founded in 2010 by Andreas Grochowiak and Alfons Thihatmer. Their many years of experience in the development and manufacturing of aerial work platforms led them to the idea of the hyCLEANER. “Safely transport people to heights” – that is the credo in the world of aerial work platforms. Especially in roof and facade cleaning, the accident risks are diverse, and it is important to minimize them. Thus, the idea of a cleaning robot emerged, which can be safely controlled from the work platform and cleans the unsafe terrain instead of humans.
2012
hyCLEANER Blue Evo
An idea became reality, and thus the year 2012 marked the birth of the first glass roof cleaning robot: hyCLEANER Blue Evo. The machine not only makes cleaning safer but also significantly more efficient than manual cleaning. With radio control from the work basket, the machine is guided over the surfaces. Several development stages later, the machine became the GLASS ROOF and today the glassROBOT.
2013
hyCLEANER facadeBRUSH
Building on the world of aerial work platforms, the team developed the next product idea: a large rotating brush controlled via an aerial work platform to revolutionize facade cleaning. No easy task, as working at height is exposed to various challenges. Over the next few years, three variants of the machine were developed to meet the requirements of different facades. In 2014, a variant was also developed that facilitates wind turbine cleaning.
2015
Birth of the Black Solar
What do solar panels and glass roofs have in common regarding cleaning requirements? In both cases, the cleaning machine moves on the demanding glass surface. At the customer’s request, the company further developed the specifications and launched the first solar cleaning machine “Black Solar,” which later evolved into the SOLAR Facelift.
2017
Special Cleaning Machine: Berlin-Spandau Station
As a specialist in the development of cleaning machines, the company also manufactures special solutions for individual customer requirements. Among the prestige projects is, for example, Berlin-Spandau Station. There, the technical challenges of a train station were specifically addressed: The entire cleaning process must be purely mechanical and carried out exclusively with water pressure to clean the curved roof efficiently, safely, and regularly.
2018
Complete Solutions for Cleaners
From the outset, the company has focused its actions on the customer. It is also important to pay attention to customer needs and to complete solutions for them. Thus, the team is always looking for commercial goods that are tailored as a complete solution to those customer needs. In 2019, the first fully equipped van was sold, which offered not only the solar cleaning robot but also an osmosis system for water treatment and hot water. Today, this is also supplemented by hand brush systems and offered as a hyCLEANER system.
2021
solarROBOT pro
The hyCLEANER is characterized by its innovative strength. This is also reflected in the continuous further development of existing products. With the solarROBOT pro, the solar cleaning machine was completely rethought: as a modular system with innovative functions that make work even easier for the operator. This laid the foundation for the series, and it still holds several unique selling propositions in the market today.
2022
Sales & Series Production
The year 2022 marks a major change: The company was handed over to new owners. Michael Pfeiffer joins as a shareholder and chairman of the advisory board, along with Celina Kneiber (née Pfeiffer) and Josha Kneiber as managing partners. Together with founder Andreas Grochowiak, they will lead the company into the future for two years. For the hyCLEANER team, it was the right time to shift from individual production to series production.
2023
TG hyLIFT becomes hyCLEANER
In the course of growth and concentration on the solar, facade, and glass sectors, the company is being renamed and transferred to a new legal form: TG hyLIFT GmbH becomes hyCLEANER GmbH & Co. KG. At the end of 2023, Andreas Grochowiak will also retire, having earned his well-deserved rest.
2024
Product Developments
Always with an ear to the customer, we continuously develop our robots further – whether by adding new accessories or functions, or by creating an entirely new robot. Thus, in autumn 2023, the solarROBOT compact was launched as a smaller version of the pro. Shortly thereafter, at Intersolar in May 2024, hyCLEANER will introduce the lichen remover DIRT FORCE, which meets the customer’s need to be able to remove even the most stubborn dirt.
